Chiropractic is the realignment of spinal bones (vertebra) in order to release pressure from the nerves.
Chiropractic is important for many reasons. In a child it allows their body to better deal with sickness and allows for better development as they grow (growth spurts).
In adults it allows our bodies to be able to move better with less aches and pains, in many cases making our lives easier.
In the elderly it allows for more comfort thru increased movement, decreased pressure on nerves as the vertebra begin to wear down. People with osteoporosis can sometimes be adjusted to ease pain IF there is enough bone mass present. This is done using the activator which requires much less force to adjust.
Children are unique in that they can be adjusted these days with less scrutiny than in years prior. It is important for their developing systems to be given every chance possible to be 100%. Their spines like ours are the pathway to which all the communication in the critical stages of growth is. They fall, jump, wrestle, and play harder than most any of us dare to now. Any parent who has tried to keep up with their child realizes this.
As we age our bodies undergo many changes. One of which is structural. It is the chiropractor's responsibility to make sure the spine progresses in a manner to make movement as easy as possible and to also make life comfortable in our Golden Years.
